María José and Richard’s wedding portraits took place at La Florida, a venue I frequent as a photographer. This wedding venue in Guadalajara, Mexico has an impressive garden lavished by immense trees that create a Garden of Eden.

The couple had a great idea, unique to their personalities, of being photographed dancing in front of their dance floor arrangement. They planned a quote in neon lights for their guests, saying, “The future looks good!” We made spectacular photographs brimmed with movement, otherworldly natural light and beautiful nature. Couple’s rarely do this in my experience but, María José and Richard took advantage of their reception decoration to take amazing picture without their guests.

The bride mixed it up, asking me to take pictures on the road, on a cobblestone road lined with palm trees, and in front of a dark brick-red wall to add variety to the choices of portraits she would get. The luminosity and diversity in her final photographs reflected what I try to do with all my brides to get the perfect shot!
