Only a 40 minute drive from Guadalajara’s downtown there is a pair of lagoons that dry up in the summer. When not filled with water these lagoons resemble sand dunes. A highway divides these lagoons so getting there is quite easy. I shot Fernanda and Juan Carlos as a pre-wedding couple’s session. Both of them are very outgoing and down-to-earth so the concept of the Jeep with the jean outfits and the sand in the background went well with their personalities. I love it when the people I shoot plan a couple or more outfits for the shoot. This variety makes it more fun for everyone and also adds a different feel to every set of photographs. We waited for the sunset which is seen through the mountains that are at the perimeter of the sand lagoons. I shoot frequently at a place called Tapalpa too, the sand lagoons are on the way to Tapalpa. My ideal shoot would be to cover these two amazing places with one couple.
