Editorial Shoot in San Francisco

San Francisco is a city renowned for its architectural landscape adapted to its hilly geography. Rich and proud of the heritage displayed in its emblematic buildings and monuments, the bay city thrilled me with all its possibilities. As a photographer, and more so an artist, I found it my duty to unravel the layers in which culture, design, art, fashion and architecture could create an experience through a photograph.

Working in San Francisco, I wanted to focus on the spirited commotion of its streets in bustling neighborhoods to bring out the texture and character of the urban individual driven by style. Points I was keen on expanding the ways I made use of space to direct models when hundreds of people were around. Creating eminent editorials in places where crowds, and the city in itself, are still in the frame is what I wished to explore.

I was confident that even when working in fashion photography, the portrayal of a consciousness of the context of the surrounding space and people gave value and meaning to the outcome.
