CANNA is a Mexican based company founded by young women. The designers behind this growing company describe it as “high end design with low environmental impact”. CANNA began its first collection with handbags made from aluminum can tabs, with which it was acclaimed through magazines like Vogue Mexico.
In this new collection the designers created a handbag made from nopal leather with editions of changing shapes and colors. The handbags are featured in red, green and black. I shot this product editorial as a fashion editorial using my inspirations like art, architecture and design. I like to use organic materials in these types of shoots to contrast the importance of the product as a subject. The use of cream-like colors and soft brown emphasizes the handbag and puts it in the spotlight. I love working with these types of projects because I am inspired by women who are entrepreneurs and passionate about what they do, just like me.
