Nicole and Fernando were introduced by mutual friends and it was love at first sight. After only 6 months of dating Fernando knew Nicole was the love of his life. On a trip to Asia, Fernando surprised Nicole and proposed in Shanghai. The pictures of their proposal are touching; Fernando kneeling, Nicole stunned, and Shanghai in the background!
Always questioned about the immediateness of it all Nicole responds that time is trivial in love, “When you know, you know.” It’s beautiful to think that no matter how much time two people have been together, either one month or 10 years, the heart will always tell who’s the one.
Nicole’s “getting ready” was a unique experience because she invited more people than usual. This was only a testament to all the people who love her and support her. Everyone’s emotions and feelings made it a heartwarming part of the day. My shoot with them was in Fernando’s home garden. Because of the time of the day, we had a lot of light to work with. This put my skills to the test and allowed me to play with shadows. The result was incredible; bright and elegant photographs with unrepeatable shadows.
Nicole lived in San Diego for some time and Fernando is from Monterrey so their wedding was crowded with people who traveled far to attend. This made it all the more fun for the guests. Some sides of the family had never met so watching them party and have a good time only reminded me of how weddings bring everyone together.
