Erika and Guillermo chose the most luxurious, but absolutely serene venue in Punta Mita to host their wedding, Imanta Resorts, Punta de Mita. In the middle of the jungle, the couple celebrated a three-day weekend with their families and closest friends.
On the first day, the couple hosted a beachy, laidback lunch accompanied by the most exquisite catering. Guests, delighted to wear a light and colorful attire, enjoyed the afternoon-turned-evening commemorating Erika and Guillermo’s union.
The next day the ceremony took place under a typical Mexican beach-structure called a palapa. I shot Erika and Guillermo’s portraits on a private beach highlighted by the light sand and soothing ocean waves.
After the couple said their vows, everyone moved on to enjoy a delicious seafood dinner and listen to, suitably, bohemian sounds. The married couple and guests, then pleasured in a long night of dancing, cheering and celebrating what life is about. The newlyweds with their happiness and excitement set the mood and energy for everyone to follow along.
Punta de Mita is not only an engagement and wedding dream, but also a hotspot for honeymoons. The bay offers a very intimate destination while also being very accessible. I was honored with the opportunity to shoot them in surroundings so in touch with nature that the energy of their love with the tropical setting made the photographs a testament to why my job is my passion.
