Lourdes and Victor got married at the boutique hotel Hacienda La Magdalena, a traditional Mexican setting perfect for destination weddings in Guadalajara, Mexico given its location is just outside of the city.
The couple met in college through mutual friends and has not looked back since. On their special day, they took portraits with their friends and family on the grassy grounds of the hacienda. The hacienda provides a very convenient venue given it encircles a typical Mexican chapel, beautiful settings to sit around and have cocktails, fine picture-perfect locations and a sizable tent for a party.
Lourdes’ brother walked her in through the bricked chapel in a very emotional entrance. The guests elegantly wore black, a Mexican gesture to heighten the sophistication of the event, creating an eye-pleasing backdrop with the dark greens and clay reds of the ceremony setting.
While the guests gathered in preparation for the reception, I took portraits of only the couple. I could tell how gentle Victor’s love was towards Lourdes, making my heart ache in delight. In their eyes, there was only gratification for their being together. Victor and Lourdes complimented each other as they posed for the photographs making everything very energy-fluid and good-sensing.
To begin the celebration with families and guests, an amazing firework display was put on while the newlyweds cut their cake and gleamed at each other. The scene created an iconic moment of what the greatest possibilities and brightest future holds for them.
